HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Where oh where did my snow princess go? Oh where oh where could she be?? She went trick-or-treating all night long, oh where oh where could she be????
Isn't halloween such a fun time. If you are a mom like me, you dread halloween because not only does the candy call your name everything time you walk by the bowl, but also because we all have to think of something clever, cute, adorable and something they want to be, to dress our kids up for the big night. Standing in the aisle of Target waiting for her to choose the most perfect costume, and totally disagreeing with everything you choose, waiting and waiting and still waiting....Finally the decision is made and by the time we get home, she has somehow wiggled her way into the costume in the back seat of the van without ever taking her seatbelt off. Of course she wants to wear the costume everyday and by the time halloween actually gets here, the poor costume already looks like it has been to war and back.
After going out walking block by block practically forcing her up to the doorbell, reminding her to say thank you after EVERY house, we are so excited we lose track of time and she is asking us to carry her bag full of candy because it's so heavy her arm is hurting, plus the poor bag is getting street burn from her dragging it while walking!!!

We finally decide enough is enough and start our long journey back to the comfort of our home where we can take off our shoes, change into our pjs and dump the big bag of candy right in the middle of our livingroom floor to weed through and see what we want to eat right away. This time of the night, being a mom has been all but forgotten because you tell her one more piece and then brush teeth and lights out, knowing full and well she will have about 4 more pieces before actually getting her to the three letter word we all moms love to hear. BED!!!

Just for a moment, that moment of silence when your feet hurt and you are so tired from the busy day taking them to everyone you know to show them off in their adorable, cute costumes, just for a moment you sit back and say quietly, "I wish I were a kid again". You forget all about the frustrating times you had the prior weeks leading up to the big night and somehow look at it all and say, "that was fun". My kids had fun, they were soooo cute and thats what makes it a HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Then that moment is darastically soon over and you think, "I only have 365 days to think of clever, cute, adorable costumes for next year". Your head starts to hurt and you finally decide to get to bed yourself. (only after one more piece of candy)
